Starship Technologies Raises $17.2M for Delivery Robots

German automaker Daimler AG invests $17.2 million in Starship Technologies, which has been testing its delivery robots in nearly 60 cities worldwide. Starship and Mercedes-Benz, a business unit of Daimler, partnered in September 2016 on a van that will carry Starship robots to pre-agreed locations to load and unload goods and then dispatch the .delivery robots in the final step for on-demand delivery.
